Join us for the 15th Annual Brainerd Turkey Run!



Run or walk your 5k or 1 Mile distance. All proceeds benefit the Shriners Healthcare for Children Twin Cities.

Our registration prices continue to be low and affordable to ensure affordability for families.



Registration Information:

Online Registration closes Tuesday November 26th at 11:59 pm. In person registration will be available Wednesday November 27th from 5-7 pm at the Armory.

Youth (18 and under)
5k (Timed)
-$20 through November 1st
-$25 through November 26

1 Mile (not timed): $15 through November 26

Adults (19 and over)
5k (Timed)
-$25 through November 1st
-$30 through November 26

$20 through November 1st
$25 through November 26

Virtual Race Option: We will mail your bib After the event and you can participate on your own time and route. You can choose to ship your packet OR pick up.
5k : $30.00 through November 26th.

-All kids 5 and under are free but will not receive a shirt.
-Dogs that are friendly will be allowed but please use caution around other racers. You must start at the back of the pack and be responsible and clean up after them. All dogs MUST be on a leash.
-Course is stroller friendly.

Racer Swag

Must be registered by November 16th for a shirt. Additional shirts will be ordered in limited quantities.

Race Schedule and Details:


Wednesday November 27th 5-7 pm Packet Pick Up and Registration. This will take place at the Brainerd Armory.
It is highly suggested to register and pick up packets on Wednesday night. Thursday morning is VERY busy.
You are allowed to pick up race packets for friends and family if they are pre registered. New participants must be present to sign a waiver.

Thursday November 28th 7:00-8:30(hard cut off time) Packet Pickup and Registration at the Brainerd Armory.

5k Starts: 9:00 am in front of the Armory
1 Mile Walk Starts: Follows the 5k start
Awards: Around 9:45

Dress weather accordingly. We love to see your turkey costumes and holiday attire.

Following the race, there will be race refreshments, snacks and results in the gym inside the Armory.

Parking:

Parking is available in the Armory lot. There are a few local businesses who are not open and are allowing us to park in their lots. Be courteous and abide by signs that say No Parking in some of the lots. On street parking is available, do not park on the race course. Be aware as you leave if there are people still finishing. Many parking lots and street parking are near the race course. Be aware of the 5k and 1 mile walk course to ensure you are not parking on them. The courses are listed below under Race Details.

Race Details:

5k:
-5k route starts and finishs at the Brainerd Armory. The course can been described as Industrial Scenic and is stroller friendly.

-There will be a lead biker for the 5k.
-Results will be located inside the Armory (5k Only) on the Results kiosk. Be sure to check that you have results within 10 minutes of finishing. Please talk with the timing team, Karma Race, with any questions. They are located at the finish line.

1 Mile:
-1 mile route is loop around the near by streets. Course is stroller friendly.

-The 1 mile walk will be signed and volunteers along the way to guide you along.This is NOT a timed event.

Virtual Racers:
-You will receive a seperate email explaining how to submit your results.
All race items will be mailed the week after the race, unless you pick up Wednesday evening or Thursday morning.

After you finish:

-Grab a cookie, water and banana before you head out to celebrate your Thanksgiving Day with friends and family.
-Grab a picture at the photo backdrop with our Turkey Run Finisher Sign. Tag us on social media @BrainerdTurkeyRun on FB or Instagram.
-Results will be posted to BrainerdTurkeyRun.com after the race. You will also receive a finishers email that includes a link to your results and finisher certificate.
